Our history of cooperation in space dates before 1962 when Program C was stood up as part of the
National Reconnaissance Office, along with Program A, the Air Force element.

The modified space acquisition process provides more timely opportunities for Milestone Decision Authority reviews throughout the execution of the program and is consistent with the
National Reconnaissance Office Directive 7 process.
Space-Based Radar is an important program that we are working to make sure is properly integrated with the current generation and the next generation of ground-moving target indicator platforms, along with others to include other satellites that we don't normally associate with integration--and I am talking about
National Reconnaissance Office satellites, that could speak at the machine-to-machine level with manned and unmanned platforms.
This is because the service's acquisition budget contributes to a number of intelligence agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and the
National Reconnaissance Office. The Air Force is also responsible for most [C.sup.4]I functions and related assets.
