Sunnyvale, CA, August 23, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Zetta.net today announced that the tribal nonprofit organization Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) is using Zetta DataProtect for NetApp to provide 3-in-1 offsite backup cloud backup and disaster recovery (DR) for critical data housed in its
NetApp Filers. CITC selected Zetta.net's 3-in-1 backup, disaster recovery and archiving solution to avoid the costly investment of an additional
NetApp Filer, third party software, and WAN traffic accelerator - saving $75,000 as a result.
For disaster recovery, full backups are completed automatically to tape and serverless--data travels directly from the
NetApp Filer to tape devices,in order that Oracle database server performance is not degraded.
"Using DDA 1.0 with our
NetApp filer was our first experience testing filers in database environment.
Multiple ServerProtect scan servers can be registered with one
NetApp filer to provide better scanning performance and higher scalability.
Administrators can set up and remotely control any
NetApp filer from any computing platform without disruption to business-critical operations.
(PCA) has selected Zetta.net's cloud server backup and disaster recovery (DR) to replace PCA's
NetApp filer offsite backup solution, resulting in dramatically lower costs and less management time.
The
NetApp Filer approach to storage also delivers instantaneous backup and recovery; automation of the most labor-intensive data management tasks, including DR; the ability to provision storage as fast as VMs; and data deduplication across primary, backup, DR and archival storage.
This approach, for example, allows multiple
NetApp filer customers to take advantage of a more cost-effective and manageable backup strategy than was previously available.
