After reaching the small town of Norseman we began the epic drive along the Eyre highway, across the Nullarbor. The Nullarbor is a 2000km, straight-as-an-arrow road that passes through a seemingly endless, dull, flat plain (Nullarbor translates as treeless plain) to Adelaide.
It doesn't look like there's a lot to see when driving the Nullarbor across Australia, but you'll find all sorts of animals out here along with some great views of the Bight just a short drive from the main road.
It reminded me of the time I drove a VW Beetle across the Nullarbor Desert when it was just a mud track.
