N,N'methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) was used as a water soluble crosslinker and potassium
persulphate (KPS) as an initiator.
In the present study, we synthesized novel semi-IPN hydrogel based on the natural and renewable gum rosin alcohol-psyllium backbone, through graft co-polymerization of acrylic acid (AA) using potassium
persulphate (KPS) and N, N -methylene-bisacrylamide (MBA) as an initiator-crosslinker system.
The samples were digested with
persulphate to determine total nitrogen (Tot-N, mg [L.sup.-1]) as well as total phosphorus (Tot-P, mg [L.sup.-1]).
The oxidant (ammonium
persulphate), toluene, and acid (CSA) were used as obtained.
The ABTS radical solution was generated by mixing two stock solutions of 7 mM ABTS and 2.4 mM potassium
persulphate in the same ratio and allowing the solution to react for 12 h at room temperature in the dark.
The ABTS radical ([ABTS.sup.*+]) was produced by reacting 7.4 mM ABTS stock solution with 2.45 mM potassium
persulphate at a ratio of 1: 1 (v/v).
In some cases FeAdeg is used as catalyst with
persulphate (PS) for the degradation of azo dyes [9].
The Urinary Iodine Concentration (UIC) was assayed by Sandell-Kolthoff reaction (Method A), after digesting the urine with Ammonium
Persulphate at 100 (o)C [14-16, 22].
(20) The absorbance of the stock solution containing 7mM ABT[S.sup.+] (produced from 12-16 hour incubation of 7 mM ABTS and 2.45 mM potassium
persulphate in 0.01 M phosphate buffer saline, pH-7.4) was adjusted to about 0.700 at 734 nm with 0.01 M phosphate buffer saline, pH-7.4.
There is increasing evidence that the following ingredi- ents often found in haircare products have been linked to asthma: ammonium
persulphate, potassium persul- phate and sodium
persulphate.
Gel composition comprises of 0.5X TBE buffer, 10% APS (Ammonium
persulphate), TEMED (Tetramethylethylenediamine Sigma Aldrich(r)) and PAGE gel solutions (Rotiphorese(r) Gel 30).
