The inflammatory lesion in idiopathic
polyneuritis: Its role in pathogenesis.
Late neuroborreliosis is much rarer than early disease and presents with clinical pictures regarding central nervous system involvement such as progressive encephalitis, myelitis and encephalomyelitis or peripheral nervous system involvement such as mononeuritis or
polyneuritis (3).
Early predictors of incomplete recovery in children with Guillain-Barre
polyneuritis. J Pediatr 1975;86:356-359.
A decade later the drug was withdrawn from the market owing to its serious teratogenic potential and
polyneuritis but was reintroduced after a few years to be used as a sedative for management of patients with erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL).
The other case had additional symptoms; impaired consciousness, AO, hyperreflexia, neck stiffness, pharyngeal palsy and positive electrophysiological findings (sensorimotor
polyneuritis, radiculopathy, absence of H reflex).
Those fed with polished rice immediately showed signs of
polyneuritis (paralysis), similar to symptoms detected in humans afflicted with beriberi.
Extrahepatic manifestations are uncommon and include a leukocytoclastic vasculitis, glomerulonephritis, arthritis, immune complex disease, toxic epidermal necrolysis, myocarditis, optic neuritis, transverse myelitis,
polyneuritis, thrombocytopenia, aplastic anaemia, and red cell aplasia [3].
A brief list of less common causes of significant LMN disease in dogs and cats includes botulism, aminoglycoside antibiotics, hypothyroidism, hyperadrenocorticism, paraneoplastic
polyneuritis, and vincristine/vinblastine neuropathy [11, 91-93].
As for BZ the most common adverse effects are allergic dermopathy and gastrointestinal syndromes; less frequently bone marrow depression, thrombocytopenic purpura and agranulocytosis, polyneuropathy, paresthesia and peripheral
polyneuritis. (2)
[22] In our study post-Diphtheria
polyneuritis, Facial palsy was also seen on rising as a part of AFP surveillance.
Patients were excluded if they had (1) acute complications of diabetes including hyperosmolar coma, ketoacidosis, and hypoglycemic coma; (2) neuropathy resulting from acute and chronic inflammatory diseases, peripheral
polyneuritis, infectious
polyneuritis, vasculitis, and so on; (3) cervical spondylosis and lumbar spondylosis; or (4) malignancy and hematologic diseases.
ACA must be differentiated from tumor, abscess,
polyneuritis, intoxication, metabolic disease, hereditary degenerative disorders, meningitis, encephalitis, and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis.
