1. The use of a pendulum for divination. There are different forms, including cleidomancy, coscinomancy, and dactylomancy. Radiesthesia is often used when dowsing.
2. From the French word meaning “dowsing,” radiesthesia is the search for something using a divining rod or pendulum and is used as a diagnostic technique in psionic medicine and radionics.
