The strikes came after a rocket from Gaza landed in the southern Israeli city of
Sderot earlier Wednesday.
The developments came hours after the Israeli military claimed a rocket had hit a street of
Sderot in the occupied territories.
Earlier Sunday, Palestinian militants launched a rocket that landed in the Israeli border town of
Sderot and Israeli aircraft and tanks responded by shelling Beit Hanoun.
