silent movie star -- and was soon seduced into the life of a tragically kept man, a soul-selling script doctor mercenarily feeding his benefactor's illusions of a dramatic comeback.
Based on an earlier film by Billy Wilder, Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning production takes place at the end of the 1940s and follows the story of Norma, a former
silent movie star, as she meets and entraps a young screen writer, Joe, to work on a comeback script.

silent movie for 86 years.
Youngsters from Y Dyfodol supported living scheme managed by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association in Rhyl, took part in 12 sessions at with TAPE to create their own sound-tracks to a
silent movie. Eleven of the sessions took place at the Rhyl scheme with a final record and edit session at the TAPE studios in Berthes Road, Old Colwyn.
DRAMA There's a buzz in the store as it becomes the set for a
silent movie, Double Trouble.
"Everybody's been running a
