Singapore Strait.
Indonesia opens some of its waters for international navigation like applied in the Malacca Strait and
Singapore Strait in Sunda Strait, Lombok Strait, and Makassar Strait.
The vessel also complied with the reporting procedures when navigating in the
Singapore Strait during the period in question, an MPA spokesperson said in an email reply to Bernama.
Two shipping collisions near the
Singapore Strait in less than a week have caused serious concerns and brought into renewed focus the need for seamless movement of cargo traffic worth billions of dollars annually in the region, it is said on Wednesday.
"There is no report of oil pollution and traffic in the
Singapore Strait is unaffected," the MPA said in a statement.
