This lead to the conclusion that the mass of the Milky Way is 1.5 trillion
solar masses. A
solar mass is the standard unit of mass in astronomy, which equals approximately 2A1030 kg.
The Milky Way weighs in at about 1.5 trillion
solar masses (one
solar mass is the mass of our Sun), according to the latest measurements.

These more massive stars may also undergo severe mass loss through intense stellar winds--perhaps more than 1
solar mass per billion years.
The several hundred faint young objects are seen to have recently emerged at the tip of the Northern Cross with a
solar mass of around less than eight hundredths, it said.
The O-V model is not quite realistic because it considers the neutrons as a Fermi gas; however, no matter which model is considered, all the models predict a limit to the mass because of the singular metric, while it will be shown that in a nonsingular metric even the O-V model, that otherwise gives the sharper limit to the mass ([approximately equal to] 0.7 of
solar mass), does not show it, instead it gives the equilibrium radius for any value of the mass.
For example, to reach this stage, it will take a star of around 5.0
solar masses something like 500,000 years but for a 1.0
solar mass star it will require perhaps 50 million years and for a diminutive star of just 0.3
solar masses the period will extend to over 100 million years.
Prof George Simnett said the pictures of so-called
solar mass ejections had been taken with equipment developed and built at the university and sent into space.
The researchers also found that in regards to massive black holes with a
solar mass of 100 million or less, there is no correlation between the black-hole mass and the galaxy distribution.
I did not take the proposed black hole mass for M but used one
solar mass instead as a reference.
