South Yorkshire Police changed some of the 164 "self-taken" statements that were made by junior officers in the wake of the tragedy which left 96 dead at Sheffield Wednesday's ground.
Last week, the current Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police Meredydd Hughes admitted that "words" were changed in officers' statements.
The South Yorkshire policeman had already been suspended from front-line duties and now faces misconduct proceedings.
