We've already uncovered a few rarities through the years, such as
spotted crake and the great otter spider, but the more records we have the better, even of relatively common species.

A crake found dead at Aberdyfi in 1932 was initially identified as a Baillon's crake, then labelled a
spotted crake and, thanks to its appearance at a Christmas quiz, it has now been added to the Welsh list as a sora rail from North America!
