Yan·gon
(yäN′gôN′) or Ran·goon (răn-go͞on′, răng-) The largest city of Myanmar (Burma), in the southern part of the country in the Irrawaddy River delta. It was the capital of Burmese kings from the 1750s to the 1850s and served as the national capital again from 1948 to 2006.
