In the Sumerian version of the Flood myth, the king Ziusudra is said to have been given immortality and residence in the mythical land of Dilmun by the gods.
(16) In other Akkadian versions of the flood myth, the name of the hero is Atrahasis ("Super-wise"); in Sumerian versions of the story, it is Ziusudra ("Long-lived"), and in Hittite recensions, it is Ulu.
The god Enki, who did not agree with the decree, revealed it to Ziusudra, a man well known for his humility and obedience.
