Summary: New Delhi [India], Aug 9 (ANI): In the backdrop of increasing incidents of on-ground accidents, the aviation watchdog -- Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) -- has decided to conduct the safety audit of
airside activities on a quarterly basis with the first audit to be conducted after two months.
According to a viral video shot by one of the passengers in Lagos, the man illegally gained access to the
airside with a hand luggage.
Director general of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Gilbert Kibe, said: "Whoever it is most likely had access to the
airside because with the way security is tight, it's unlikely that an outsider would have been able to make his way through to the
airside where an aeroplane is parked and be able to climb in."
The new cargo facility has direct
airside access and covers a surface area of 22,604sq ft (2,100[m.sup.2]), bringing the company's total cargo space to 75,347sq ft (7,000[m.sup.2]) at Vienna International.

A public service announcement posted on social media reads, 'The management of the Liberia Airport Authority in collaboration with the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) wishes to inform the general public that additional security measures have been put into place at RIA, to secure the premise of the airport especially the aerodrome or the
airside from theft and unlawful interferences.'
