A problem or project that requires little expertise to carry out. A “one banana problem” is an easily solved problem.

Ford has got around the banana problem (and an issue with a roll-over crash test) by incorporating the B-pillar into the rear door itself - and that's something no one has done before.
There were also some less likely sounding phrases passed on to me like 'Banana problem' (something to do with comparing how complicated a task is to a gorilla's ability to use different numbers of bananas...?) which also weren't there but I wasn't surprised at that.
