A long, usually allegorical verse narrative in which the characters are animals with human feelings and motives.

The EP comprises six songs that remained unfinished at the time the Grammy-nominated album Beast Epic was released earlier this year.
Across town, the great Sub Pop hero Sam Beam of Iron & Wine plays a Valentine's Day show in support of his latest release, Beast Epic. Painter-turned-film professor-turned-singersongwriter Beam, who rose to prominence with a blend of whispered vocals and softly homespun indie folk, chose the moniker Iron & Wine after coming across a dietary supplement named 'Beef Iron & Wine' while working on a film.
