It was the Annual
Beetle Drive with fish and chip supper.
The North West Community Campus is set to host a
beetle drive next week.
The annual meeting was closed and the fun in the shape of a '
Beetle Drive' began.
Members then enjoyed a
beetle drive followed by tea and baking.
Hawkhead Bowling Club's lady members have raised PS1,000 for Parkinson's UK by hosting a
beetle drive.
The events planned are: Monday, August 21, 9:30am-11am, coffee and quiz; Monday, September 4, 2.30pm-4pm, knit and natter; Tuesday, September 19, 9.30am-11am, breakfast and
beetle drive; Thursday, September 28, 9.30am-11am, tea, toast and table games; Monday, October 9, 2.30pm-4pm, tea and table games; Tuesday, October 24, 9.30am-11am, Cannon Street and coffee.
Trips are planned for later in the year, along with a
beetle drive in September.
Other past events include a
Beetle drive and a piano recital.
Other events throughout the festival include a scarecrow competition, Allesley Scouts' open day, a ladies' night, quiz night,
beetle drive, games night and a teddy bears' picnic.
Youth councillors took part in a raffle, community
beetle drive and tombola to raise PS400 for the charity YoungMinds.
