In this direction, the aim of this study was to determine the level of potential toxic metals such as cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), and lead (Pb) in the wheat irrigated by sewage water and to examine various indices such as
bioconcentration factor, enrichment factor and health risk index in order to better understand how metals are transported and accumulate through the food chain.
Bioconcentration of pesticides in zebrafish eleutheroembryos (Danio rerio).
The five most prevalent endpoints accounted for nearly 93% of the 215 reviewed articles; these were
bioconcentration (23%), biodegradation (22%), organic carbon-sorption partition coefficient (18%), and abiotic degradation in air (15%) and in water (14%).
Due to their feeding, they accumulate both pollutants dissolved in water as well as pollutants associated with suspended particles, and they show high pollutant
bioconcentration factors and low organic pollutant metabolic capacity.
The main goal of the present work was to investigate the
bioconcentration and toxicokinetics of MC-LR in the gills of the two marine bivalves exposed to different MC-LR concentrations.
Some authors suggest that the concentrations of this metal in fish for Tapajos is a natural
bioconcentration process, absorbed independently of human action, due to the natural leaching of the soil, mainly during the rainy season, that loads Zn from soils to aquatic systems [16].
Bioconcentration of zinc and cadmium in ectomycorrhizal fungi and associated aspen trees as affected by level of pollution.
bioconcentration factor, monitoring data, or other data showing the
Bioconcentration factor (BCF), the ratio of the element content in fruiting body to the content in underlying substrate, can express the ability of fungi to accumulate elements from substrate, and this capacity of the mushroom is affected by fungal lifestyle, age of fruiting body, specific species and element, and environment such as pH, organic matter, and pollution [9].
Armeria plant signified as root accumulators by authors due to their high
bioconcentration factor 134 (Zn), 148(Cr), and 9 (Cd) in their roots [147].
