TITG(r) Welcome
Ceilidh It's back by popular demand, the early bird TITG(r) welcome
Ceilidh.
On Saturday September 14 supporters will be celebrating at a
ceilidh in theVictoria Hall, Dunblane from 7.30-11pm with the Fraser McKinnon
Ceilidh Band.
There will also be a mini music festival which will feature aspiring dancers with the Reel Hot
Ceilidh Peppers, playing lively barn dance and
ceilidh music, and Beggars Oak, who perform clog and Morris dancing.
This year instead of doing a Christmas
ceilidh Ellon Academy decided to have a Burns
ceilidh on the 25th of January.
On February 14th, over 50 students from within the Gosforth Academy participated in a
Ceilidh hosted by Gosforth East Middle School.
Spectators were wowed by incredible cultural offerings, ending with a
ceilidh at St George's Hall and an after-party at Kazimier Garden.
Day of Dance offers a series of workshops followed by an evening
ceilidh interrupted by pop-up dance performances.
A video of the couple dancing the traditional
ceilidh dance as been shared and liked hundreds of times on Facebook.

MY CULTURAL fix this week included David Greig's entertaining musical of the "Local Hero" movie at the Edinburgh Lyceum, pictured, and the delivery of "Uptown Fank", the debut album by croft-punk
ceilidh band, Peat and Diesel.
Kind-heated Airdrie siblings Margaret Elliott (nee Burns), Jacqueline Bell and Marian Burns rallied round their extended family for a special Burns night
ceilidh to raise funds for St Andrew's Hospice and Airdrie's Maggie's Centre.
The Paisley Highlanders Association will be holding their monthly
ceilidh this Saturday at Elderslie Village Hall.
