Suppose the circumcentre of triangle [A.sub.1][B.sub.1][C.sub.1] lies on the circumcircle of triangle ABC.
The dissection in Figure 5a is obtained by finding the centre of the equilateral triangle, which is the incentre and the circumcentre and the orthocentre of this symmetrical triangle.
The students are usually led to draw rough conclusions regarding the position of the point under investigation; for instance, that it is the circumcentre of the triangle ABC.
