A complaint filed at a US federal court said Snowden engaged in unauthorised communication of national defence information and willful communication of classified communications intelligence information.
Maximum Mr Snowden was charged with "Theft of Government Property", "Unauthorized communication of National Defense Information Information" and "Willful Communication of Classified Communications Intelligence".
