Like helium, this line was thought to be from an as-yet unknown element, provisionally named coronium. As the periodic table began to fill up, however, there was no place left to put this new element.
According to this theory these lines, once believed caused by an unknown element, called coronium, are due to the extreme ionization of iron atoms in the sun's corona.
