The studies were performed on 27 dogs with pyometra, with a mean body weight of 20.18[+ or -]12.41 kg (pyometra group; PG), and 8 clinically healthy dogs in dioestrus with a mean body weight of 15.15[+ or -]14.72 kg (dioestrus group; DG).
