Alteration is dominated by strong potassic alteration and pervasive silicification locally accompanied by albite, chlorite and
epidote. Located 30 kilometres apart, the zones are spatially associated with two major subparallel structures suggesting significant deep-rooted regional-scale systems.
Malik Saleem said that Pakistan has enormous wealth of expensive gems such as ruby, emerald, tourmaline, garnet, topaz, peridot, aquamarine, spinel, pargasite, diopside, moonstone, pink topaz, sapphire, zircon, feldspar, agate, serpentine jade,
epidote, pink beryl (morganite), purple beryl, sphene, zoisite, lapis lazuli, turquoise, and kunzite etc.
Malik Shahid informed that Pakistan has enormous wealth of expensive gems such as ruby, emerald, tourmaline, garnet, topaz, peridot, aquamarine, spinel, pargasite, diopside, moonstone, pink topaz, sapphire, zircon, feldspar, agate, serpentine jade,
epidote, pink beryl (morganite), purple beryl, sphene, zoisite, lapis lazuli, turquoise and kunzite etc and Pakistan could earn huge foreign exchange from exports of gems and jewelry.
In the complex microprophries is very fine grained with orthoclase, perthite, quartz, biotite, magnetite,
epidote as major minerals.

The alteration halos are composed of chlorite [+ or -] calcite [+ or -]
epidote, in the diorites and quartz diorites of Segovia batholith and of muscovite [+ or -] illite + quartz + pyrite in the black shales of Segovia sedimentary rocks.
Accessory minerals: ilmenite,
epidote, zircon and apatite occupy a small fraction of the volume.
Epidote (1.3-1.7%) wasasubhedral grains; optical studies identified both zoisite and clinozoisite.
The wide-range of gemstones including sapphires from Kashmir, emeralds from Swat, rubies from the northern areas and pink topazes from Katlang, Mardan, and good quality zircon, different varieties of quartz, aquamarine, tourmaline, sphene, spinel, zoisite apatite,
epidote, morganite, garnet, scapolite, clino zoisite, xenotime, bastnaesite, peridot, nephrite, serpentine, red agate, diopside, pargasite, amethyst, scheelite, pollucite, chrome diopside and kunzite are found in mountainous belt from South Waziristan to Chitral, makes the country significant in the mineral world.
