Constructed of carbon steel, the Dust Hound cyclone uses a specially shaped
ground plate to divert dust towards the walls and to interrupt the airflow, creating a very localized pressure drop that causes more particulate to fall out of the airstream and reduce dust re-entrainment.
The
ground plate features a rectangular shape with dimensions of 9.7x9 [mm.sup.2].
Both the top-patterned copper and bottom
ground plate are 0.035 mm thick with an electric conductivity of 5.8 x [10.sup.7] S/m.
It is separated from a
ground plate, by a distance [d.sub.1].
It consists of a dual-band feeding antenna in the center, four dual-band RFSRs on the side walls, and a finite-square
ground plate on which the feeding antenna and RFSRs are perpendicularly mounted.
1, where perfectly sharp border between the transmission line and the
ground plate is seen [17].
In this design, electromagnetic fields are transferred through a ring microstrip into a small air gap (approximately 500 microns) by connecting a microwave input source to an SMA connector on the microstrip and
ground plate. Teflon will be used as the dielectric substrate and copper will be used to create the microstrip.
Soft AC is the voltage that produces soft electrostatic forces in the system; that is, it produces small to very small amplitudes (with respect to the gap between EA-MEMS-CR and the
ground plate) when the frequency is away from resonance zones.
To make a
ground plate, start with a clean, bare steel plate or sheet that's 1/4 inch thick.
