The deal, expected to close next month, covers Thai Amarit's one million
hectoliter per year brewery on a 53.72-acre site in Pathum Thani province near Bangkok and another smaller property in Bangkok.
Tuxtepac, which will be expanded by the end of 2006 to reach total capacity of 60 million
hectoliters, will become the company's second largest brewery after its 20 million
hectoliter Zacatecas plant.
