Intraligamentary anaesthesia involves introduction of anaesthetic directly into a periodontal gap, the place of injection is gingival groove near the interdental papilla. This causes the penetration of the anaesthetic into the bone forming the alveolar septum.
It involved the interdental papilla, marginal and attached gingiva and, when retracted from the teeth, its attachment to the interdental papilla was visible (Figure 1C).
Chronic inflammatory gingival enlargement originates as a slight ballooning of the interdental papilla and marginal gingiva.
