Postprocessing techniques such as maximum intensity projection (MIP), multiplanar reformation (MPR) and volume rendering (VR) are very useful in evaluating the anomaly in detail and demonstrating the arterial feeders and draining veins.
For the study experienced breast radiologists were asked to review the maximum intensity projection (MIP) of the FAST images to determine whether there was significant enhancement.
In addition to the traditional axial images, all the other available techniques (multiplanar reconstructions (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP) and 3D volume rendering (3D VR) images were used for the assessment of the coronary artery anatomies.
