Probably the trickiest part of all this is getting the skirting to join in the corners, but if you take your time and use a mitre block, it should come together nicely.
Where the skirting boards join together at a 90[bar] corner, use a mitre block cut at a 45[bar] angle so that they slot together.
Q: I have some mitred corners to cut, but I've struggled to get them right before with my small wooden mitre block. Is there a better way?
