Hers had been a tragic life of highs and lows, and on the night she was preyed on by The Ripper in a secluded corner of
Mitre Square, Catherine was at her lowest ebb: gin drunk and immersed in a violent relationship.

The body of Liz Stride was found behind 40 Berner Street and that of Kate Eddowes in
Mitre Square in London's East End on September 30.
The monster more than made up for that with victim No4, who was discovered the same day a short walk away in
Mitre Square.
