modified combined obstacle overlay

A joint intelligence preparation of the battlespace product used to portray the effects of each battlespace dimension on military operations. It normally depicts militarily significant aspects of the battlespace environment, such as obstacles restricting military movement, key geography, and military objectives. Also called MCOO. Leaders down to the small-unit level are enabled by the automated, virtual three-dimensional modified combined obstacle overlay (MCOO) to see potential impediments to maneuverability for both ground and air platforms (mobility choke points or potential enemy missile, rocket, artillery, and mortar systems).
