Just plug an undistinguished box called an outboard DAC between your digital music player (like an iPod, CD player or computer) and an amplifier.
If you go for an outboard DAC you want a SPDIF with jitter reduction, top-grade DACs, and the best opamps or discrete circuit designs.
In addition, it has both coaxial and fiberoptic digital outputs that allow you to hook it directly to an outboard DAC for two-channel music or to DD or DTS decoders for movies and DVD music programs.
