We present a case of a paraplegic and parastetic patient who developed a penile abscess due to intracavernosal
papaverine injections.
Buffered
papaverine facilitates passage of intratympanic dexamethasone to the inner ear.
Following explantation, the RA was first stored in a solution of blood, heparin, and
papaverine. We then used the 'skeletonized technique' to free the artery from excess tissue using metallic clips.

In addition, intracavernosal injections with phentolamine,
papaverine and alprostadil have been used successfully (80%) for improvement of erectile dysfunction by releasing higher levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate, another potent dilatator, despite undesirable side effects such as priapism and hematoma (16).
An observational cross-sectional study was conducted : Department of IGIMS, Patna from 6/4/17 to 30/12/ total of 21 consecutive patients presenting with erectile dysfunction were included and all underwent penile c Doppler evaluation with injection of
papaverine 2 mL intracavernosal used in this study.

For the latter, continuous intra-arterial infusion of vasodilators, such as
papaverine hydrochloride, is useful.

Papaverine Applications on Blood Flow of the Internal Mammary Artery.
The study enrolled 71 otherwise healthy subjects with idiopathic IBS that knowingly decided to follow one of these management strategies: Hyoscine butylbromide, administered when needed (Group 1);
papaverine hydrochloride 10 mg + belladonna extract 10 mg, administered when needed (Group 2); supplementation with Casperome, 1 tablet of 250 mg per day, for four weeks (Group 3).
CryoLife vascular allografts are processed with
papaverine hydrochloride and antimicrobials, packaged and then supercooled and stored in liquid nitrogen following patented processes and in accordance with the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) guidelines (CryoLife, Inc., 2016a).
Arterial vasodilators (reserpine,
papaverine, tolazoline), specific thromboxane inhibitors (methimazole, iloprost), and nonspecific thromboxane inhibitors (aspirin, methylprednisolone) are also recommended to prevent edema, thrombosis, and vasospasm (6).
