On performing an examination, he had proptosis, periorbital puffiness, dilated episcleral vessels, sluggish
pupillary reflex, external ophthalmoplegia, and diminished vision.
Ophthalmologic examination revealed that visual acuity was reduced to a perception of light bilaterally, both eyes exhibited normal
pupillary reflex without movement restriction.
The following responses were observed in the mice: Awareness, grooming, corneal reflex,
pupillary reflex, gripping strength, skin color, urination, lactation, touch response, pain response, convulsion, tremors, writhing reflex, salivation, lacrimation, and hyperactivity.
It stimulates the photosensitive retinal ganglion cells, stimulates
pupillary reflex and controls the circadian cycle.
Conventional
pupillary reflex studies were focused on the clinical studies of human disease [10], but few reported on animals.
The patient was spastic quadriplegic and had no
pupillary reflex. Brain MRI revealed cortical and white matter atrophy.
Clinical signs like temperature, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, coma severity by MGCS Score, respiratory pattern,
pupillary reflex, corneal reflex, extraocular movements, motor pattern, and fundal picture were studied.
We reviewed the neurological examination for the following components: coma, absence of
pupillary reflex, absence of corneal reflex, absence of both oculocephalic and oculovestibular reflexes, absence of both cough and gag, and absence of motor response to pain.
(1983) combined the study of the iris anatomy with the examination of
pupillary reflex in great horned owl.
(3,4) Neurological injuries include thermal papillitis, optic neuropathy, loss of
pupillary reflex, anisocoria, Horner's syndrome, multiple cranial nerve palsies, and nystagmus.
