These results can be related to the fact that this grass species competes for N during the process of organic matter mineralization (Menezes & Leandro, 2004), consequently affecting plant development and reducing the percentage of commercial roots and increasing the amount of waste roots produced by the
radish plant.
However, applying an appropriate quantity of N can increase germination and growth of the
radish plant [16].
One
radish plant gives me hundreds of pods, and the flowers are pretty.
These observations align with our previous findings with
radish plant (Zaman and Zereen 1998), where we observed inhibitions of root and shoot biomass in 100 ppm Cd and 1000 ppm Pb treated
radish plants, and significant Grade of Growth Inhibition in 100 ppm Cd and 500 and 1000 ppm Pb treated plants.
Hamza MA, Aylmore LAG (1992a) Soil solute concentration and water uptake by single lupin and
radish plant roots.
NaCl-induced salinity also reduced shoot length of
radish plant compared with control treatment and the reduction was greater at higher NaCl level (200 mM).
The concentration of Cd in the
radish plant parts was quantified after digestion of dry plant material as described by Netondo et al.
The transpiration rate of a
radish plant decreases less rapidly than the decrease in water content at the soil-root interface presumably due to an osmotic adjustment in the leaves.
Leaf yellowing and rolling with slight crinkling was observed in
radish plants in Oman, indicative of a begomovirus infection.
The researchers have used their approach to grow five crop cycles of
radish plants. The vegetables receiving the fertiliser derived from the bionic leaf weigh 150% more than the control crops.
Let fruits or flowers mature, whether they are the dry pods of bean plants or
radish plants, the fruits of pepper or cucumber plants, or the dry seed heads of marigolds or zinnias.
