At the peripheral rim of the masses, the
rete testis and epididymis showed marked compression.
Although the majority of intratesticular masses are malignant, a probable diagnosis of various benign intratesticular mass lesions, including lipoma, tubular ectasia of the
rete testis (TERT), epidermoid cyst, hematoma, segmental testicular infarction, fibrosis and granulomatous orchitis based on imaging findings may improve patient management and reduce the number of unnecessary radical surgical explorations.
The tubular compartments were comprised of the seminiferous tubules, straight seminiferous tubules and
rete testis, without any distinct boundary tissue between them.
They performed a multivariable analysis that only included variables found to be significant at the 5% level in the univariate analysis, which were elevation of hCG, presence of vascular invasion, invasion of
rete testis, tunica albuginea, or epididymis, and presence of embryonal carcinoma, yolk sac tumour, choriocarcinoma, or teratoma.
A study of the
rete testis epithelium in several wild birds.
The presence of LVI, a predominant histologic subtype; involvement of the
rete testis; and pathologic tumor stage are generally regarded as most significant.
Solid kitleler daha cok malignite dusundururken kistik kitleler siklikla
rete testis ektazisi, basit kist ve tunica albuginea kisti gibi benign nedenlidir.
There was no
rete testis invasion in 66.7% (26/37) and epididymis invasion in 84.6% (33/37) of the cases.
Epididymis,
rete testis, spermatic cord and tunica vaginalis are free of tuberculous involvement (Figure 2).
Active surveillance is offered for low-risk patients (CSIA) in most centres, but controversy exists about the preferred management in high-risk CSI NSGCT (typically defined by the presence of lymphovascular invasion, pure embryonal carcinoma, and
rete testis invasion in the primary tumour).
18 Seminiferous tubules open from the mediastinum into the
rete testis and drain into the epididymis.
