The differential diagnosis of dermatoses overlying pacemakers includes infection, irritant or allergic contact dermatitis,
reticular telangiectatic erythema (caused by local venous obstruction and pressure dermatitis), and impending skin erosion/device extrusion.
The dermatoscopic evaluation of these Koebner lesions showed two different aspects; in Figure 1a they have the classical features of LP with white
reticular Wickham striae on a pink background, whereas in Figure lb there is
reticular pigmentation on a brown background with blue-gray Wickham striae and brownish globules.
Reticular drusen, also referred to as
reticular pseudodrusen, are also known to be a risk factor for both dry and wet late AMD.
Higher number of
reticular opacity were detected on HRCT thorax as compared to chest X-ray but it was not statistically significant (P>0.05).
The Fleischner society paper notes that, in line with the previous guidelines, (2) the histopathologic confirmation is not needed in the context of a "typical UIP pattern," which demonstrates basal-predominant (occasionally diffuse) and subpleural-predominant, often heterogeneous,
reticular opacities with peripheral traction bronchiectasis or bronchiolectasis, with honeycombing, and an absence of features to suggest an alternative diagnosis (1) (Table).
FAF patterns were classified as normal, minimal change, focal increase, patchy, linear, lace-like,
reticular, and speckled according to the classification of International Fundus Autofluorescence Classification Group.
Examination of the patch under a dermatoscope revealed islands of
reticular (lattice-like) hyperpigmentation, focal hypopigmentation, and prominent follicles (FIGURE 2).
It covers indications, technique, radiation dose, normal anatomy,
reticular opacities, nodular lung disease, and increased and decreased attenuation, followed by specific diseases and their findings.
However, I would also like to add that the full understanding of the idea of care is only possible from
reticular sociology.
Results: Oral LP was the most common clinical variant with 24 (40%) cases, out of which 18 (30%) were of
reticular oral LP, 6 (10%) were of erosive oral lichen planus.
