I happened upon the Hills rotary clothesline in a catalog and decided to give it a try, even though it was expensive.
Croydon Council managers wrote to thousands of tenants telling them that washing lines and three-pronged rotary clotheslines must be removed so as to prevent "heavy and wet" clothing from falling onto people below.
Scott Welch's invention is a canopy which fits on top of rotary clotheslines. It protects washing from the rain but can be unfolded to create a playhouse.
