Strobel, "Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) with symmetric involvement of both femora: X-ray, bone
scintigram, and MR imaging findings in one case," Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, vol.
Other imaging techniques, such as MRI and bone
scintigram, are redundant since they neither make the diagnosis more secure nor influence the choice of treatment.
The reported main radiological methods were a bone
scintigram and MRI.
For further investigations, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pelvis and the head, a bone
scintigram, and a dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) were performed.
The diagnosis can usually be based on clinical, Haemodynamic (Pulmonary artery capillary wedge and/or left atrial pressure wave), electrocardiographic (ECG), functional (Echocardiogram), metabolic (Coronary lactate production), Biochemical (release of creatine kinase-MB isoenzyme and/or troponin) or Regional perfusion (
Scintigram) parameters.
Whole body bone scan [Figure 1]c and chest computer tomography (CT), [Figure 1]d identified a focal area with increased technetium-99m diphosphonate
scintigram uptake over the right scapula compatible with right scapular mass and a large cauliflower-like osteosclerotic lesion exophytic from the inner area of the right scapular body.
Usually, one vial (111-185 MBq) of DaTSCAN is intravenously administered to an adult patient for brain
scintigram which is taken 3 to 6 hours after administration.
The investigators applied
scintigram with intradermal injections of radioactive tracer at each IT to determine the skin blood flow [18].
