Several alteration styles have been observed on the Property, including intense silicification associated with massive chalcopyrite mineralization,
sericite, and hematite veining within a monzonite granite.
Assay results from drill-holes BKR006, 008 and 009 also encountered several zones of highly anomalous proximal VMS pathfinder elements including Ag, As, Ba, Cd, Co, In, Mo, Sb and Tl associated with strong silica +/-
sericite alteration at the Marker Chert horizon.
The granite consists of plagioclase, quartz and alkali feldspar (exclusively orthoclase) with minor amounts of biotite, muscovite,
sericite, an opaque ore mineral and trace amounts of apatite.
Quartz, chlorite, illite, adularia,
sericite, calcite, fluorite are gangue minerals and commonly occur as fine-grained assemblages, although some are medium- and micrograined assemblages.
Baitunze stone is plastic and moderately fusible, and contains a high level of
sericite, a potash mica.
Gangue minerals are quartz, fluorite, calcite,
sericite, and epidote.
Fine-grained, light-reflecting
Sericite gives a luminous effect, the key ingredient for makeup that looks natural, not heavy and cakey.
Some common alterations are as follow: feldspar change to
sericite or calcite.
The minerals of gabbros include olivine, plagioclase, clinopyroxene and opaque mineral that altered to serpentine, amphibole,
sericite and iron oxides.
In most of the cases, but especially in the rocks of intermediate to acid composition, the rocks show moderate to severe hydrothermal alteration, with the development of potassic minerals (
sericite, K-feldspar), prehnite, and carbonates accompanied by other secondary minerals (epidote, quartz, chlorite, titanite).
