In colon cancer resection specimens, the radial margin refers to the soft tissue margin created by surgical resection, and not to the
serosal surface.
Both deer had gross lesions consistent with epizootic hemorrhagic disease, including multiorgan petechial and ecchymotic hemorrhages on
serosal surfaces (5).
Gross lesions included pale skeletal muscle with multifocal hemorrhages and petechiae in the air sacs and
serosal surfaces of most organs.
Operative findings revealed 500-600 cc of serous fluid spread in the abdomen, necrotic changes and
serosal opening in the cecum, and a giant lipoma with a size of 20-25 cm in diameter completely obstructing the lumen of the colon (Figure 6).
In the laparotomy, a multi-nodular, solid mass lesion originating from the anterior
serosal surface of the uterus was seen (Figure 1A, B).

Histopathology of the appendix showed double appendix with separate
serosal and muscular layers for short distance and separate mucosa and common muscular layer for the rest of length.
The frog skin epithelium is used as a model to demonstrate the transport of various charged solutes (sodium and chloride) and non-charged solutes (urea and glycerol) across the mucosal and
serosal membranes through channels and transporters to maintain the homeostasis of the body fluid.
One case with LAMN and two cases with mucinous adenocarcinoma showed mucin on the
serosal surface, and none of the 19 cases showed surgical border positivity (Table 3a, 3b).
Since neutrophils are the main cells of the acute inflammatory process, mutated pyrin's inability to perform its function may lead to the uncontrolled activation of neutrophils and cause the migration of these cells to
serosal tissue (28).
The disease is characterized by febrile, recurrent inflammatory attacks of the
serosal membranes, causing a prolonged self-limitation (3).
