The author's cogent examination of the relationship between the concepts of space control and
space force application leads him to conclude that "weaponization" of space is not inevitable.
In addition to being a force enabler, Air Force Space Command serves as a force provider, operating
space force application capabilities that focus on nuclear deterrence and warfighting with both Minuteman III and Peacekeeper ICBMs and the infrastructure to maintain and protect them.
