Faith is one of the three
theological virtues -- faith, hope, and charity.
To these four natural virtues, Christian theologians added the three supernatural or
theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity (or love).
While the contemplative, as well as the active, person needs all the cardinal and
theological virtues, time apart from the peopled world provides opportunities for introspection and keen awareness of one's inner order.

THE LEAST SPOKEN of these three "
theological virtues" is, almost always, hope.

THREE Christian
theological virtues are faith, hope and charity and the greatest of these is charity yet the Anglican and the Catholic churches have come together to oppose the latest technical innovation which can relieve successive generations of the hideous Mitochondria disease.
The four natural and three
theological virtues (prudence, justice, temperance and fortitude, crowned by faith, hope, and charity) become Fornieri's wisdom, prudence, duty, magnanimity, rhetoric, and patriotism.
And, as I looked around at the community gathered, looked back up at the shepherd speaking to his flock, I immediately thought of one of the
theological virtues: hope.
