(1) Nor were forgotten or underrated the black meat birds hunted in Brazil, such as the guan, the curassow, the fruitcrow, the
toucanet, the toucan, the oropendola, the woodpecker and the seriema because "varied are the ways of preparing them";1 nor were forgotten birds such as the thrush, which should not be neglected because of its small size, "as they offer very tasty dishes".
According to court records, some of the endangered species were the Yellow-crowned Amazon, the Green-winged Macaw, the black-and-white ruffed lemur, the Sarus Crane, Red-breasted Parakeet, the Toco Toucan, the Safforn
Toucanet, the Serval Cat, and the red-footed tortoise.
The loft was composed of eight species of ramphastids: seven tocotoucans (Ramphastos toco), four red-breasted toucans (Ramphastos dicolorus), four red-billed toucans (Ramphastos tucanus), four spot-billed

toucanet Selenidera spectabilis and the hummingbird Klais guimeti, have rarely been recorded recently and were not recorded during our censuses.
In a small area, a bird such as the rare yellow-browed
toucanet can find a diversity of vegetation types and ages, due to disturbance and the steep vertical drop of the terrain.
