According to the results of the examination of tissue slides from liver, as an organ deemed to have high vitality in histologic sections, the lipid
vacuolisation levels of liver tissues representing different groups, which can be deemed typical for fish in aquaculture conditions, were found to be normal.
Vacuolisation in mitochondria and increased lipid vacuoles in granulosa cells of pre-antral follicles were determined (Figure 10a, 10b, respectively).
In another study,6 dexamethasone-induced spermatogenesis defects including epithelial
vacuolisation, sloughing of germ cells, reduction of seminiferous tubule diameter, reduction in the number of sperm heads and significant maturation arrest were in agreement with the present study.
In addition, exocytosis of lymphocytes and
vacuolisation of stratum malpighii was seen in one case respectively, whereas focal spongiosis was present in 2 biopsies.
There are several pathogenicity factors that influence gastric mucosa damage such as vacuolating cytotoxin A (VacA), that causes
vacuolisation in epithelial cells, cell death and epithelial integrity destruction; on the other hand, cytotoxin associated to A gene (CagA), coded in a pathogenicity island is associated with severe gastritis, nasal mucosa atrophy, high risk of ulcer and gastric cancer [4].
After proper tissue fixation, processing and haematoxylin and eosin staining, the section revealed cystic lining with changes like basal cell nuclei palisading with reverse polarity and sub nuclear
vacuolisation. Microscopic examination of the enucleated tissue revealed a plexiform ameloblastoma with a prominent vascular component.
A caudal cell mass composed of pluripotent cells ascends from the tail bud of the embryo and, through a process of
vacuolisation, forms a central canal that connects to the rostral cord formed during primary neurulation.
The cytotoxicity reactivity were graded based on the zone of lysis,
vacuolisation, detachment and membrane as given in Table 1.
Detected desquamation of germ cells was reflected by significant
vacuolisation and lumen contraction (Table 2) followed by maturation depletion [37, 54].
