As the frequency of the
vortex street in a vortex meter and of the secondary rotation in a swirl meter are each directly proportional to the volumetric flowrate of the fluid, there is no need to compensate for changes in pressure, temperature or density.
In the lab, I used a cylinder to simplify turbulence and generate an organized pattern of eddies, called a Karman
vortex street. This
vortex street is the name given to the consistent pattern of eddies that spin off in a line downstream of a cylinder.

In addition, a series of vortices known together as a
vortex street will be shed in the wake of the tower.
This characteristic vortex pattern is known as the Karman
vortex street, after the great Hungarian-born American aerodynamicist, Theodore von Karman.
My overwhelming first thought was to try and produce a work with movement to mimic the von Karman
vortex street. That said, how to end up with such a work seemed like a huge if not impossible task.
