Abstract Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor that is well known for its deceptively encouraging 5-year survival rate and its dismal survival rate at longer intervals.
I was diagnosed four years ago with a rare form of cancer adenoid cystic carcinoma, like Nathaniel in my neck.
2) A variant called adenoid cystic carcinoma in the prostate is now regarded as part of the morphologic continuum of basal cell carcinoma (3); hence, we use the term adenoid cystic/ basal cell carcinoma.
