Russia is not going to have a medium-range transport aircraft during seven or eight years unless it is put into mass production in 2005-2006 and air freighting over medium distances will be done by heavy transport aircraft with all the consequences ensuing therefrom.
"We are air freighting in the items we think will be hot gifts," he said.
"Sales of DAB radios took off dramatically in the couple of weeks just prior to Christmas 2003," he added, "with manufacturers air freighting in stock to meet the huge demand as DAB radios proved to be the hot product for Christmas.
