JTAC submits an immediate air support request (ASR) to the air support
operations center (ASOC) on the joint air request net (JARN). While immediate
requests are often submitted via the Air Force air request net (AFARN)
used by the air liaison officer (ALO) and tactical air control parties
(TACPs), AFATDS also can transmit these requests with the advantages
previously noted plus an additional one. |
